Discover The Alexander Technique

Simply put, it’s moving in your own body in a more mindful way, with more ease, to prevent or cure the pain and aches we all feel from years of bad habits.

A subtractive approach to the mind/body connection, in which inhibiting or stopping habitual stress to create a more productive, physically expansive body and present mind.

Every bit of brain activity or thought has a physical manifestation in the body. And this is a mindset to stop the physical tension created from the mental stress (and vice versa), because there really is no difference.

Is it posture? Nah. Posture is fixed. The balance required for our species to remain upright is dynamic. By emphasizing the dynamic balance of your head on your spine, your mind stays present, and the unwanted interference of mental & physical tension is prevented.

“The Alexander Technique is a method for improving motor performance by integrating the voluntary and reflex components of a movement in such a way that the voluntary does not interfere with the reflex and the reflex facilitates the voluntary.”
