Psycho-Physical Re-education. Huh? Whats that?
The Alexander Technique is a self empowering educational method that helps you to improve both your physical and mental well-being. Developed by F. Matthias Alexander, the Technique helps you discover a more balanced and efficient use of Mind & Body. It addresses habits of mental and physical tension & stress. Most lessons are one-on-one and utilize the hands-on guidance of the teacher. AT is also taught in group settings and can be seen as part of the curriculum of many top college and conservatory performance programs.
Anyone can benefit from the Alexander Technique. Literally, everybody. It is particularly useful for those that use their bodies physically for their profession, when performance matters. But anyone at any age can learn to be more present and use their body with more ease. Whether you are looking to alleviate pain, reduce stress, or enhance your performance in any activity, this technique can be an asset in all aspects of life.
Sessions typically last 45 to 50 minutes, allowing for personalized attention and guidance. This duration is ideal for exploring your unique habits and re-learning efficient body coordination.
